Fed: PM unruffled by security scare
A security guard has been injured in a scuffle with a man who gatecrashed an afternoon
tea attended by Prime Minister JOHN HOWARD in central Victoria.
Witnesses say a man headbutted one of the Prime Minister's security guards after he
was questioned about why he wasn't wearing a name badge at a function held in the Kilmore
Memorial Hall about 1pm (AEST).
The security guard's nose appeared to be bleeding after the incident.
As the altercation was underway, Mr HOWARD was about 10 metres away mingling with the
crowd in the packed hall.
Police and security staff wrestled the man to the floor before handcuffing him and
taking him outside.
As he was led away he yelled claims about his children and the Family Court.
Today's security scare comes after an Aboriginal woman pointed the bone at Mr HOWARD
and placed a curse on him when he visited the regional Victorian town of Colac yesterday.
